Building a steam saw mill near where the factory is located today was the basis of processing of wood in these areas and the establishment of the timber production company "Vrbas" which from year `49, is operating under this name. In addition, a saw-mill production and final products are developed . In the eighties of last century, "Vrbas" in the former Yugoslavia became a leader in the manufacture of laminated sets, laminated furniture, chairs for the U.S. market and equipping of facilities in the country and in Europe (Hotel "Savoj" in Moscow, Hotel "Sofia" in Sofia Hotel "Atrium" in Prague, "Slovenska plaza" in Budva, Hotel "Holiday Inn" in Sarajevo, etc.). Dissolution of Yugoslavia, process of loosing market capabilities and collapse of large systems leads to a decline in production and light attenuation in the work of "Vrbas" with ultimate result in termination of the insolvency proceedings in year 2006.
With large investments in facilities and equipment, "NOVA DI VRBAS" returns to the market with distinctive design and quality of its products in a complete technological process of the slit of logs to the final product.
At the auction in year 2008, property of "Vrbas" is bought by "Niskogradnja" from Banja Luka owned by Mr. Ljubomir Ćubić and since then started a new era in the development of "Vrbas".
With large investments in facilities and equipment, "NOVA DI VRBAS" returns to the market with distinctive design and quality of its products in a complete technological process of the slit of logs to the final product.
Production is organized into five production units run by the same infrastructure as follows:
- Primary processing
- Massive furniture factory
- Veneered furniture factory
- Factory of upholstered furniture
- Interior design.
